Zombie Defense Corps Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-11 — Scope: iPhone
1. About this policy
Zombie Defense Corps (Japanese name: ゾンビ迎撃隊:砲火の防衛線, “the app”) is an iPhone defense game in which you place turrets to protect your base. It is operated by Takuto (Takuto Lab, a sole proprietor). See About the operator for details.
Game progress and settings are stored on your device and are not sent to a developer-operated server. Ads use Google AdMob, and purchases use Apple’s App Store. Communications with these services send information outside your device.
2. Information stored on your device
Game progress, completed stages, owned parts, turret upgrades, language and audio settings, and the ad-removal purchase status are stored on your device. The app has no account registration and no system for saving or syncing game data to a developer-operated server.
You are not asked to enter your name, address, or phone number to play. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content you choose to send (section 8).
3. Information used for advertising and its purposes
The app displays full-screen video ads only, with no banner ads. A one-time ad-removal purchase removes the app’s ads.
The app uses Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and send the following information to Google:
- Device identifiers: The advertising identifier (IDFA) is used when you grant tracking permission on your iPhone. The SDK may also handle app- or developer-bounded device identifiers.
- Approximate location: A region estimated from the IP address used for a connection. The app does not obtain precise GPS location.
- Advertising data: Ads shown and interactions with ads.
- Product interactions: App launches and video views.
- Crash data: Records of problems with the app or SDK.
- Performance data: Launch time, delays, and energy usage.
- Other diagnostic data: Information used to investigate technical problems.
This information is used to serve and measure ads, analyze and improve advertising services, prevent advertising fraud, and address technical problems. Information needed for ad delivery or diagnostics may still be sent if you do not allow personalized ads.
See Google’s advertising SDK data disclosure for details.
We also use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to manage advertising consent. It may collect approximate location, performance data, and product interactions to provide consent-management functionality.
4. Advertising consent and how to change your choices
Personalized ads are enabled only when both iPhone tracking permission (ATT) and any required regional advertising consent (Google UMP) allow them. If tracking is not allowed or its status cannot be confirmed, personalized ads are disabled. An advertising consent form is shown in regions where it is required. iPhone tracking permission and regional advertising consent are separate choices.
- In the app: Open “Ad privacy choices” in Settings to review advertising consent using Google’s form. This entry appears when Google determines that a privacy options entry point is required.
- In iPhone Settings: Go to “Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking” to change tracking permission for the app. Device restrictions may prevent the permission prompt from appearing.
Reopen the app after making changes. Depending on your choices, you may receive non-personalized or limited ads, or no ads.
5. Transmission to and storage by third parties
The advertising information in section 3 is sent to Google and processed and stored through its services. It may also be shared with other companies involved in ad delivery or measurement. Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy.
Apple processes information needed for purchases. These companies may process information outside Japan. The app cannot promise a uniform retention period or confirm deletion of information held by Google or Apple.
The third parties with which this app shares user information are Google, which delivers advertising and manages advertising consent, and Apple, which handles purchases and restoration. We have confirmed that both companies, under their published privacy policies and terms of service, provide protection for user information that is the same as or equal to that stated in this policy and required by the App Store Review Guidelines.
6. Ad-removal purchases and restoration
Ad removal is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Apple’s App Store processes payment, and the app uses Apple’s purchase system (StoreKit 2) to check purchase status. The developer does not receive your credit card number.
After changing devices or reinstalling, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account used for the purchase and select “Restore Purchases” in the app’s Settings. Restoration requires an internet connection. Restoring a purchase restores the right to remove ads; it does not restore game progress or settings.
7. How to delete data
Select “Delete All Data” in the app’s Settings and confirm deletion to remove saved game progress, settings, and other game data from the device. The developer cannot recover deleted game data. Deleting the app also removes its data from the device.
Deleting data does not cancel the App Store purchase itself. Restore your ad-removal purchase as described in section 6. Deleting local data does not delete information sent to Google or Apple or revoke tracking permission or advertising consent. Use section 4 to change consent. Copies retained in operating system backups are managed through Apple’s systems.
8. Contact, children, and changes
The app is not designed for children. Check the age rating shown in the store. This statement does not mean the app has an age-verification feature.
